Message Wow guys,
Thanks for all your inquiries, it all seems pretty obvious, z32 is the way to go. And to answer forcefedtt's and ttwintturbo's question, well guys, get ready for a bumpy ride.
In 01'I was turning 17 soon and needed a car. I was serching all over the place for one. Honda civic, 3000GT VR-4, Supra TT, Acura Type R, ETC. But I saw a Red ZTT one day and fell in love with it. My father also loved the look of it. So we decided to buy that same type of car. Looked high and low and finaly found out EBay Motors. One day, I found a 90 ZTT in pearl white. The guy described it as immaculate and dealer showroom condition. It was a 2nd owned vehicle and the previous owner put new turbos and all this stuff in it. Stillen Intake, full audio system, new rubbers all around, not a scratch or dent. And it was at 9K. The title was issued as clear, but he mentioned that the vehicle was hit lightly in the front but was replaced with all new Nissan parts. So I place a bid, ultimatly, i won it for 10.5K w/ shipping. So I had it trucked up from FL which took forever, and if you know, a teenager doesn't have much patience. One day, I get a call saying the vehicle is here, I run to the end of the block to meat the truck. It was still on the lift and I saw a white Z on there, but didnt think it was mine bc of the condition. He then took it off and yes, it was mine. And being dumb as I was, I signed the release paperes before even looking the car over. The car had dents, creases, scratches. The rubbers didnt even match and the rears were down to the belts. The tint didnt even match. Brown on the passenger side, missing tint on the drivers side and rear tint was turning purple, I was so disapointed. not only that, when he fired it up, it screamed like a crack whore that just dropped a few grams on the floor. The belts were loose and shinny. So I dealt with it, tried callin the owne butr wouldnt answer his phone. So i tried to fix it all myself, I took the car in the nissan dealership to get the belts changed and to look at the HVAC system bc that wasnt working properly either, I stepped in there for a 175 dollar job only to come out 1600 dollars light bc of the labor involved in searching the problem with the HVAC system, needless to say it was never fix bc they couldnt find the problem. 1 said computer, they other said heater core and the other said thermostat. I dunno, anyways, took it out, just to find a week later same problem bc of the rain, said they couldnt do anything about it. Then it was time to chnage the rubbers and repaint the rims, that was a task, then come to find the seal on the windshield is bad bc the cowl somehow broke and water was leaking in, then one day the car wouldnt start b/c it shorted a fuse, went through 4 diahard gold batteries before the problem was found, then the hicas light was on, dont know what was up with that. Then one turbo blew bc of a crack and found out it was the original. I became suspicious about the car and tapped into so resources to find out this was a salvaged car, I obtained photos of the accident, while wasnt bad, bad enough to deem totaled. I was so angry, I called the owner only to find out he was never to be seen again. A few short months later, driving in the midle of rush hour on a busy roadway, my car dies at a light, i pop the hood and see the timing belt tensioner pulley snapped off the assembly. 5K to install a new engine. After the new engine, it was riding rough, took it in and one of the cylinders werent firing right, so i fixed that, then one day smoke was pouring out of the engine bay, and the thermostate rose almost to the red line, i shut the engine only to find black water comming out, I towed it to a near by garage only to find out the "Y" water hose broke and needed to be repaired, the black stuff was stop leak that bthet guy who put the engine in put in the radiator cuz he noticed the same problem. That right there was a 3K hit. All in all, after all the repairs, tow truck costs, labor, etc, this vehicle had 20K in it and i only had 5K miles put on it. I never had time to enjoy it. It was a night mare. But now I have an Acura Inspire and love it but, its time for a change. Its at the 168K mark and needs to be replaced soon. Well guys thats my long story. Hope you enjoy it. any any more feedback will greatly be appreciated. Also if i DO get another z32 anyone know of a great z mechanic in jersey? Central jersey if possible. thanks
